We also arrange for outside providers to run clubs on school premises, these include Absolut Football which is usually a whole school activity and Bees Cricket which targets different classes over the school year. Street Dance offers KS2 pupils the chance to develop their dancing skills.
Year 6 are also given the opportunity to attend the Blackburn Rovers After School Study Centre. The children attend in small groups for nine weeks.
Blackburn with Darwen Music Service provides the services of instrumental teachers who come into the school during the day to give lessons in guitar, keyboard and cello. We have close ties to St Bede’s Music Academy, with some of our Year 5 and 6 children going to the high school in the evenings for lessons.
After the success of 'Our Tribute to Cats' in June 07, the choir, drama club and Year 6 will collaborate with Mrs. McGowan and Mrs. Howarth again next year for another fabulous show! The rumours are that it may be Joseph.....
