St Paul's RC Primary School “the missing piece of your child's education” ‘We are the family of God’

PTFA

Welcome to St Pauls PTFA

Thank you for taking the time to visit our page.

We are a group of Parents and Teachers who organise fund raising events to raise additional funds for your children whilst at St. Pauls.

We usually meet once a term in school to discuss what events we can organise and what funds are needed in school.  These meetings are very informal and it gives parents an opportunity to meet other parents who they may not normally come across.

Recently the PTFA have made donations to several large projects.  The most recent being the revamped garden area at the rear of the school.  Other projects have included the canopy outside years 1, 4 and 5; benches for the children to enjoy quiet time; and the trim trail which is really popular with the children.  Each year the PTFA make a cash donation to each class for the teachers to purchase extras.  This can be anything from CD players to classroom toys.  We also pay for the coaches that take the children to the Pantomime each year and subsidise school trips so that parents will never pay more than £10 per child per trip.

As you can see we do a lot to support the school and YOU can be involved too.   Do you have a talent we can use?  Are you good at baking or are you a DJ? We are always looking for new ideas and talent so why not come along to our next meeting.

Spring Disco 2017

Halloween Disco 2016

Once again the School was filled with Ghouls, Ghosts, Zombies, Vampires Witches and Wizards for this years Halloween Disco. The Children had an amazing time as usual as you can see by the pictures..! A huge thankyou on behalf of the PTFA to all who were able to lend a hand and make the disco a huge success for another year.

Family Camp 2016

Despite the rain everyone had a great time at Family Camp this year!  Though the school field was a little wet, everyone managed to don their Wellies, pitch their tents and were welcomed into the school hall for tea.  Activities then included Football and a game of Rounders once the rain had stopped. We had a welcome dry play area in the hall for the Children, and where campers were also able to relax (Dry out) and socialize.  After supper everyone enjoyed roasting marsh mallows on the open fire before bed.

Thanks to everyone who braved the weather, volunteered their time and helped to make a successful Family Camp 2016!

Gardening Day 2016

We enjoyed wonderful weather for this years Gardening Day! A big thank you to everyone who was able to come along and lend a hand. Whether it was digging, weeding, potting, carrying or D.I.Y, not to mention feeding the hungry workforce too! Some much needed T.L.C was given to the school Gardens, Flower Beds and Hanging Baskets, which are looking great once again at the front of the school.

Family Camp 2014

This was a fantastic event in which 25 families participated.  Everyone arrived and pitched their tents on the Saturday afternoon, and then proceeded to take part in a variety of activities.  The children enjoyed the bouncy castle and giant bubble blowing courtesy of Mr Moore.  Everyone took part in rounders, which turned into a very competitive game amongst the adults.  The evening was completd with a firework display courtesy of Houghton Towers; followed by the toasting of marshmallows over the firepits.  The event was huge fun and resulted in over £560 being raised towards the PTFA funds.  See photos below

Year 6 will be performing their Production in the School Hall on Wednesday 19th July at 2pm and 6pm. The Teddy Bears Picnic was a great success on Thursday, the new Reception children enjoyed showing the current Reception class their cuddly toys. Congratulations to the Primary Engineers who came North West Runner Up with team Atom's moon buggy, on Wednesday 12th June.
