St. Paul's R.C. Primary School As God's family we aspire to love, grow, learn and achieve beyond our dreams

Reception

Welcome to Reception

Welcome to our Reception Class, where we love to learn through play!  Your children are taught by Mrs Eddleston, Mrs Bailey and Mrs Hunt. We enjoy working together with you so that your child continues to have a very exciting and productive year.

Our class motto is "I can" because the children are encouraged to believe they can do anything - all they have to do is try!

Marvellous Me!

This term we will be finding out what makes us all special! The topic is based on the children and allows them to find out about their new friends (and teachers) as well as building their confidence by sharing information about themselves.

Our first week at school

We have had a great first week at school. Everybody is impressed with how well the children have settled into the school routines.

Forest School

This half term, children from Reception Class will start Forest School week beginning 24th September. Each child should bring in a pair of wellies with their name in. These will be kept in school all year.

R.E. Come and See

The focus of this term’s work in Religious Education is the theme of Domestic Church (family)

Domestic church - family

Myself  - God knows and loves each one

Suggestions for home activities

Make a collage using family photographs of all the significant family members—grandparents, parents, children, aunts, uncles etc. who show God’s love.

Write underneath it “We show God’s love to one another.”
