Spring 1 - 1066 - current topic

Picture 1

Our first topic of 2018 is all about 1066.  We will look at how people and events from this famous period have shaped England alongside activities such as designing and making Norman helmets and our own Bayeux Tapestry.

Our topic for Science this half term is digestion and teeth.

Model Digestive System

In Science we made a working version of the digestive system.  We used a sandwich bag for our stomach and a tight for our intestines.  We then looked at how our body digests a banana sandwich.  As we found out from our results, our large intestine does a fantastic job of removing water from our food as we made some sloppy faeces!
