Spring 2 - Blue Abyss

Spring 2 - Blue Abyss
Picture 1

Our topic for the half term leading up to Easter was Blue Abyss.  In this topic we looked at how animals and plants are adapted for life in our seas and oceans, as well as looking at how the 19th Century ocean exploration has improved our understanding of these bio-diverse habitats.   We also looked at how rivers are formed and looked at environmental issues that affect our Oceans.

Our Science topic this term was Animal Classification.

Trip to Blue Planet

To reinforce our learning on the World's Oceans, habitats and animal classification, we went on a school trip to Blue Planet.

The children had an excellent day. They watched divers feed the different fish and listened to how sharks are adapted to live in their environment.
