Blended Learning January 2021

Information for parents and children.

If you have access to the internet via a computer or tablet, your child will log on to Microsoft Teams and join our lessons in class to continue their learning at home.

Please log in through

Your child will need to join Microsoft Teams through RM Unify. (Your child has been shown how to do this and there are clear instructions on the email sent on 5/1/2021)

Please see below for the daily timetable and supporting resources.

Please could your child be prepared with a pencil or pen and the Home Learning book/squared paper provided by school. Do not feel the activities need to be printed out, please complete the work in the Home Learning books/squared paper provided.

In Year 1, the blended learning will run slightly different to the other year groups in school. I have taken time to consider the age of the children and their ability to sit at a desk for long periods of time, therefore the live lessons will be split into 3 sessions.

9:15am, 10:40am and 1:00pm. In these sessions the children will take part in the whole class learning and will then be expected to go off and complete an activity independently (similar to our previous home learning).

I am hoping that this will be the most effective way for your children to learn.

Also below, I have included the Year 1 curriculum expectations. If you find that you have extra time to fill with your children and are needing something extra, then please read through the expectations and choose an objective that you know your child cannot yet do and work on this at home. If you need any ideas then please contact me and I will be happy to help you!

Please encourage your child to complete all of their work to the best of their ability.

I am available each day for any questions or worries that you have between 8:40am and 4pm - please be aware that Miss Riding or Miss Gosling may respond to any questions as I will be teaching as normal throughout the day. By the end of the day, please send copies of all work/screenshot pictures to

I will return your child's work, marked with feedback, ready for the next day's learning. It is vital that the children receive feedback and praise for what they have completed and I also keep this work for evidence and assessment.

Remember, this is new to us all and we are all learning to adapt to this new way of temporary teaching. There may be bumps along the way but do not worry, we will learn from our mistakes. Our growth mind-set attitude requires us to problem solve and work together as a team.

We look forward to working with you to support your children’s education.

Thank you for all your continued support.

Keep smiling and stay safe,

Miss Hall, Miss Riding and Miss Gosling heart
