This half term we learning about cooking and nutrition.
Our new topic is:
'On The Go'
This week I would like you to investigate the different types of food there are, that you can eat while on the go. As you are at home, you will probably have lots of different foods in your fridge and cupboards.
Understand and apply the principles of a varied and healthy diet.
Describe food products in terms of taste, texture, flavour and relate this to the intended purpose of the food.
I would like you to taste test a variety of on the go products. You will evaluate them using your senses to describe how they look, smell, taste and feel. You will also identify the ingredients in them and suggest occasions when the products might be eaten. Try to find 4 different products to evaluate.
Please fill in the analysis sheet (below) and bring it back to school when you return. It is really important that you complete this activity, you get to spend the afternoon eating, what is better than that?
