Topic

Monday 30th March

Practical maths – can you create the number bonds to 10 (e.g. 5+5, 7+3 etc). I’d like you to start by doing this practically using 10 objects and find the different ways of splitting them.

Phonics activity, reading and quiz set (Purple Mash).

After Easter our topic is Minibeasts and plants. At home I have been spending a lot of time in the garden with my little boys and we have enjoyed looking for insects. Why not have a go at looking for bugs when you are outside for your daily exercise? We have found lots of snails and woodlice. My children and I like spiders! Do you like spiders? We have made a spider out of a kitchen roll, you could have a go at making one. You don’t have to paint it, just draw a face on it! I’d love to see it!

We called ours Mr Skinnylegs.

Tuesday 31st March

Continuing from yesterday’s activity – can you begin to write the matching sum for the number bond? For example, if somebody at home writes 6+_=10 can you use the objects to fill in the missing number.

2 paint a picture activity based on the reading from yesterday (Purple Mash).
