Year 5

Welcome to Year 5

Welcome to Class Five. Class Five are taught by Mrs Taylor. Mrs Booth supports the class every morning.

This term our topic is "Alchemy Island", where the children will learn map skills including reading maps and atlases; using a compass; and 4 and 6 figure grid references. This links to writing explanations in English about natural events such as earthquakes and volcanoes. In Maths we are learning about place value, decimals, addition, subtraction and geometry.

Spellings will be given out  and tested on a Friday.

Maths and English homework will be given out on a Tuesday and needs to be returned the following Tuesday.

Please find below the powerpoint shared with parents at the Meet the Team evening on 12th September.
