Year 5

Welcome to Year 5

 

   

Welcome to Class Five. Class Five are taught by Mrs Taylor. Mrs Booth supports the class every morning.

 

This half term our topic is "Pharaohs", where the children will learn about life in Ancient Egypt. In English the children will be reading and writing Fantasy Quest stories. In Maths we are learning about perimeter, area, multiplication, division and fractions. For more detailed information about Maths and English, please see the yearly overviews below.

 

Spellings will be given out  and tested on a Friday.

 

Maths and English homework will be given out on a Tuesday and needs to be returned the following Tuesday.

Meet the Team - 12 September 2018

Class Assembly

On Friday 17th November 2017, Year 5 performed a wonderful assembly about Ancient Egypt and the story of Joseph. Please see photos below.

Visit to Lingfield Court

 

On Wednesday 15th November 2017, Year 5 spent the morning making cakes, sandwiches and sausage rolls to prepare an afternoon tea for the residents of Lingfield Court.  In the afternoon, the children served the food; provided the entertainment; and a great time was had by all. Well done children!

Mission Statement

 

To launch St Paul's new Mission Statement, Year 5 wrote and performed a class poem. Well done Year 5!
