Child Action North West (CANW)

The Caritas Ambassadors will be supporting Child Action North West this Christmas by purchasing toys and games for them.

These will then be given to the CANW charity during an assembly each December.

Our Work So Far

Toy collection:
The Ambassadors wanted, as in previous years, to collect toys for Christmas for the charity Child Action North West. They sent out a  ParentMail asking for donations of new unwrapped gifts.
We were aware that the timing wasn't quite right because of the present climate but went ahead because we wanted to try at least.
The response was overwhelming! 

In December the children brought in a massive 235 new toys! Wow!
We sent a message with some pictures of the collection to CANW. She was blown away! She sent a thank you message via video link to the children and spoke of how these gifts would make such a difference, lessen the burden to families and bring joy.

The children were extremely proud of their efforts. It's a great feeling to be able to give as well as receive and to understand how this gift would make such a difference to a child's Christmas.
