Design Technology

Welcome to Design Technology.

Subject Leader: Mrs Tagari

Hello and a warm welcome to our Design Technology (DT) subject page.

I'm Mrs Tagari and the lead teacher for this creative subject at St Paul's.

This aim of this page is to give you an insight into some of the amazing learning that happens at our school, whilst offering you all at home some creative ideas to get stuck into.

I love designing things, and having a go at making something with a real-world solution. I find it extremely satisfying to get my own unique ideas down on paper.  Our children at St Paul's would certainly agree with their fantastic designs this school year. Across school, we certainly have researched existing products, designed our own with a success criteria, made prototypes by experimenting, and finally evaluated our final outcomes. We have loved creating things!

This year in school we have had many creative works and discovered amazing designers with superb passion and talent for the creative subject, from Reception to our oldest children in Year 6.

In EYFS and KS1, we have had fun with building structures, designing a King's and Queen's royal tea party and making moving pictures.

In KS2, we have been busy in the school kitchens making Spanish-inspired dishes, design and making our very own night lamp from recycled materials with connecting up a circuit with a working bulb and making mini Anderson shelters.

Below are our individual class pages which will showcase the amazing work your children produce at school.

I am SO proud of the work. I'm sure you will agree these pieces of work are amazing.

Friday 23rd October - Open Afternoon for September 2021 intake. Please call the school office on 201495 to book an appointment. 19th - Nasal Flu vaccinations.
