Purple Mash and MyMaths

Homework will be live on Purple Mash and MyMaths from Thursday every week.

English and Maths activities relating to recent classwork.

There will be occasional Science, History, Geography, and PSHE work.

All homework should be completed and handed in, online, by the following Tuesday.

If your child encounters any difficulty with their homework, please encourage them to speak to a teacher as soon as possible.

We set high expectations for Year 5 children to read at home.

We encourage them to read every night for at least 10 minutes. A minimum of 1 hour over the week. Please sign your child's reading record at home.  Reading books will be sent home and changed when required.

Spellings will be live from Friday and we will have a spelling quiz on these the following Friday.

Your child will find their weekly spellings on Purple Mash and on the class page.

Please encourage your child to practice their spellings at home.

P.E. will be every Thursday afternoon. The children will need to wear their house colour t-shirt with navy shorts.  We will go outside, it is advisable that the children have a jumper and tracksuit bottoms/leggings for the colder weather (these should be plain navy or black).  The children are permitted to wear trainers, but if the children need them for home activities too, please make sure they bring them back into school.
