Welcome to Year 5

Welcome to Class Five. Class Five are taught by Mrs Taylor and Miss Halleron. Miss Riding supports the class every morning.

This half term our topic is "Natural Disasters", where the children will learn about earthquakes, volacnoes and tsunamis, as well as practise some map skills. In Science, the children will learn about different materials. They will be learning about Hokusai in Art and producing their own version of The Great Wave. In English the children will be reading and writing explanations and poems. In Maths we are learning about  place value, addition and subtraction problems, shape and measure. For more detailed information about Maths and English, please see the yearly overviews below.

Spellings will be given out and tested on a Friday.

Homework will be given out on a Wednesday and needs to be returned the following Monday.
