Mrs Taylor and Miss Halleron are the class teachers.

 

Miss Gardner is our teaching assistant and the lovely Mrs Slater works in our class too.

Class Information

 

Homework

Purple Mash and MyMaths

Homework will be live on Purple Mash and MyMaths from Thursday every week.

English and Maths activities relating to recent class work. 

There will be occasional Science, History, Geography and PSHE work.

 

All homework should be completed and handed in, online, by the following Tuesday. 

If your child encounters any difficulty with their homework/spellings, please encourage them to speak to either myself or Miss Halleron as soon as possible.

 

Reading

We set high expectations for Year 5 children to read at home. 

We encourage them to read every night for at least 10 minutes. A minimum of 1 hour over the week. Please sign your child's reading record at home.  Reading books will be sent home and changed when required.

 

Spelling

Spellings will be live from Thursday and we will have a spelling quiz on the following Friday morning.

Your child will find their weekly spellings on Purple Mash and on the class page.

Please encourage your child to practise their spellings at home.

 

PE 

This term the children will be swimming.  This will be every Thursday afternoon. 

Please send your child into school with a swimming cap, appropriate swimming wear and towel.
