St Paul's R.C. Primary School

As God's Family We Aspire To Love, Grow, Learn

And Achieve Beyond Our Dreams

Welcome

Welcome to St. Paul’s R.C. Primary

'As God's family we aspire to love, grow, learn and achieve beyond our dreams.'

May I wish you a warm welcome to our school website. My name is Mr. Gary Foster and I am proud to have the privilege of being Headteacher of St. Paul’s RC Primary School. St. Paul’s is a special place to learn and work because it always puts the children first. We are lucky enough to have wonderful children who want to learn, and dedicated, caring adults who help them to do so.

St. Paul’s R.C. Primary is a one form entry school. We are situated in Feniscowles, on the outskirts of Blackburn.

The interior of the school is bright and attractive with big airy classrooms, high quality resources, interactive whiteboards and happy smiling pupils. We have a beautiful large hall, a fully equipped computer suite and a well stocked library. Our school is a safe environment with high quality security, fencing and lighting to ensure the safety and welfare of our children and school community.

We are also fortunate to have amazing grounds that overlook fields and meadows. We have enhanced the outside play areas with a wonderful school garden, a junior adventure trail, an infant climbing frame and a living willow tunnel.

We are a happy school with superb staff and hardworking children. Our Mission Statement 'As God's family we aspire to love, grow, learn and achieve beyond our dreams’ is central to all we do. Every child matters at St. Paul’s and the children are at the heart of all we do in our school. We invest heavily in human resources, which we believe is the best way to raise achievement and meet the needs of our children. All our members of staff are fully committed to the school and dedicated to their task of promoting high quality teaching and learning as well as caring for the spiritual development of the children. Our teaching staff has a breadth of knowledge and wealth of experience, along with new ideas to offer our children and to inspire them with well planned and exciting learning opportunities.

We believe that good behaviour is crucial to maintain the positive and caring ethos of the school, and our priority is to engage children in their learning, whilst helping them develop a positive and responsible attitude towards one another, the school and the school community.

Although our school is well established, we are constantly seeking to improve the provision. In education, as with all life, things change, and we constantly face new challenges, both in terms of developments in education and expectations of the children and parents. We aim to be a vibrant core in the community, as well as forward looking in our attitude to education.

We are uniquely different as a Catholic school. Prayer, worship, Gospel values and the celebration of Mass as well as preparation to receive the Sacraments are central to what makes us a Catholic school. Jesus is at the centre of all our work, relationships and dealings with each other. It permeates the curriculum and is evident in the way children learn, behave and respect each other in their work and play. St. Paul's is a good Catholic Primary school, where children are encouraged and supported to achieve their full potential. We are very proud of our pupils and consider it a privilege to serve the parish and community by giving the children the best possible start in their education.

I hope our website gives you an insight into our school, but no website can be a substitute for a visit. Please feel free to telephone if you feel this is something you would like to do.

I look forward to the opportunity of meeting you personally.

Regards

Gary Foster
