CAFOD
CAFOD CARITAS Ambassadors
The Cafod CARITAS Ambassadors are a group of dedicated pupils who organise various fundraising and awareness-raising initiatives throughout the year to support the important work of Cafod (the Catholic Agency for Overseas Development). Guided by our school's vision to "love, grow, learn and achieve beyond our dreams," these young ambassadors demonstrate their commitment to making a positive difference in the world.
Water Walk
One of the key events organised by our Cafod CARITAS Ambassadors is the annual Water Walk. During the summer term, all children at St. Paul's take part in this meaningful activity, where they experience the challenge of carrying heavy water containers over a set distance. This powerful experience helps our pupils develop a deeper understanding of the daily struggles faced by people in many parts of the world who do not have easy access to clean water.
Fundraising for Cafod
In addition to the Water Walk, our Cafod CARITAS Ambassadors lead various fundraising initiatives throughout the year to support Cafod's work in addressing poverty, injustice, and environmental degradation globally. These efforts are rooted in our school's values of compassion, respect, and a commitment to social justice, as we strive to "cherish each other" and "bear joyful witness to God's word."
Community Engagement
The Cafod CARITAS Ambassadors programme not only benefits the global community but also strengthens the bonds within our own school community. By involving all of our pupils in the Water Walk and other Cafod-related activities, we foster a sense of unity, empathy, and a shared responsibility to care for our global neighbours.
