At St Paul’s, prayer is at the heart of our Catholic life and helps to guide us on our journey of faith. Our Prayer Progression ensures that children grow in confidence and understanding as they move through the school, learning traditional prayers of the Church as well as developing their own personal relationship with God. Beginning in Reception with simple daily prayers, pupils build on this foundation year by year — learning well-known prayers such as the Hail Mary and Our Father in Key Stage 1, and moving on to prayers like the Act of Contrition, The Magnificat, and the Nicene Creed in Key Stage 2. By the time they leave St Paul’s, children are well prepared to participate fully in the prayer life of the Church, both in school and in their parish communities.
